Well for those arriving early enough on Thursday to partake in the talks on the State and Federal Constitutions, the learning opportunity starts then. By the time the Wine starts pouring a little later, the Grand Ole Party will have begun.
Friday promises to be full of fun and activities with an all-day party in the park among the ways to spend your time. Victoria Taft of KPAM - 860 will be broadcasting live at the park bandstand from 11am - 3pm and immediately following will be Kirby Wilbur interviewing Senate Candidates. When Kirby finishes up around 4:30, the band "Five guys named Moe" will take over, they'll fire up the grill and the Beer Garden will be tapped.
For delegates such as myself that are there for the learning experience, there will be many great classes to indulge in. Among them will be Convention 101 with Kirby Wilbur, Chairman Luke Esser and the convention parliamentarian teaching the ins and outs of the Parliamentary procedure. Then, Dinner with Michelle Malkin.
And as if all that weren't enough, on Saturday we have Governor Mitt Roomney. There is still opportunity to join us for many of these events so, come on down to Vancouver and live it up "Grand Ole Party" style.

Where to apply the tourniquet
I had a brief conversation with some one after the forum earlier this month, about where to draw the line between the Elephants and the Rinos. We both acknowledged the difficulty and uncertainty of this decision. The realities are some what more clear. The "ideals" that we are "bound by" as a country, are in grave danger.
Many see the "reaching across the aisle" Republicans as the reason we are facing the problems we face as a country right now. That very well may be a large component but is it the most prominent ailment? In other words, if you were a doctor and our country was your patient, would RINOs be the most important injury to address?
One thing is now for certain, the election of a not-so-conservative Republican in Massachusetts, served as a tourniquet that allows America further chance to survive. But we must recognize that we are being infiltrated from the bottom up and, I contend to you that unless we shore up the walls and spend more time on the foundation, all of our efforts will be in vain.
We must recapture our school boards and demand that our children are taught history. We must stop reforming immigration laws and enforce those that encourage assimilation. We must continue attending town halls and holding our representatives accountable. And finally, we must realize that we hold the power of term limits in our hands at the ballot box.
As far as Rinos vs. Elephants vs. Jack Asses, let's check all of their records for votes on the issues that are most important. Let's question their knowledge on the history of our country and let's assess their character for the principals of our founding. Then let's work the process of elimination because we'll never get perfect and let's not forget, that we have to fight this and all battles with the army that we have.

Well, What Did You Think?
Last Friday Nights Forum drew more of a crowd then I had anticipated. My apologizes to anyone that was left uncomfortable due to lack of seating. I had expected more mingling but you were all intent on being discerning, so I ask you, what did you think? Who do you think will have what it takes to reach those independents and moderate dems to pull votes from Murray, Inslee? Who will have that characteristic and also be able to raise the funds that it will take to produce all the signs and mass media that will be necessary?
I am personally content that we have the right person going after Rick Larsen with John Koster and I hope many of you join in efforts to see that happen. Please post a comment on the blog and let everyone know your opinion..

Obama's Amnesty is coming!
Murray, Larsen and Cantwell are told by Obama and his Marxist terrorist pals
that when they support full amnesty that these aliens will all vote their

A Voice From The Industry
I find myself talking a lot about "Healthcare Reform" these days, though certainly not with any support of our current US Congress and Presidential Charades.
I've worked in healthcare most of my life. Initially as a nurses aide, later a hospital cook, hospital unit clerk, nursing assistant and then a Registered Nurse. As an RN I've worked in clinic; hospital; home health and long-term care. I've been at the bedside of patient care in a variety of settings including Medical/Surgical; Oncology; Cardiac/Respiratory; Psychiatry; Home Health & Hospice. I've worked as an Administrator and an Educator.
In my passion for healthcare I furthered my training with a BSN Bachelor of Science in Nursing (1984), and in 1995 a MBA in Healthcare Administration. With over 25 years of nursing behind me, my experience and education place me in an "Expert" status for judging where politicians are attempting to hold this industry hostage.
Unfortunately, the current healthcare bill is now moving the hostage situation to a more dangerous level, "take no hostages alive". It is clearly the attempt to destroy the worlds finest healthcare system while serving political agendas of greed and corruption. Breaking the heart of healthcare and those who have dedicated our lives to the welfare and care of the people we serve.
The initiation of Managed Care in the late 1980's/early 1990's began the transition of taking this industry hostage. It shifted the power and profits from physicians/healthcare providers and patients to third-party-payers and governmental regulatory bodies.
The days of a family staying with one physician or physician group just because they wanted to - because they got the care they liked or chose have long-since faded. Managed care broke the legs of our free-market system. Socialized medicine will break the neck.
Now, politicians see a way to try to gain power over the healthcare market, for profits (though ill-gained, and to the actual destruction of our quality of healthcare) - to take the power away from third-party payers...and certainly further out of the skilled hands of healthcare professionals. This will be a deadly blow.
I recall, researching Socialized Medicine throughout the world (part of my MBA training). It was easy to clearly see that the socialized systems throughout the world are/were inefficient at best, and that the healthcare of most was rationed to the detriment of those who need it most. Most Americans who live on border states to Canada and Mexico have first-hand stories of those who travel to the US when they really need to get good care fast. Having a Canadian in our family, we certainly have our first-hand stories. If you want a hip-replacement in Canada, be prepared to wait 10 years for each hip. My husband and also my sister had hip-replacements this year. The wait was 3 weeks to schedule. No problem. In a country with socialized medicine, the rule is to make the wait long enough so that a certain number of those person's on the list will die first - to save money. Or to force those who might have the money to leave the country to pursue the surgery elsewhere to do so - at their own cost.
A socialized system works only for the folks who do not need medical attention. Those who are healthy aged, who rarely have major diseases. However, for socialized medicine to work - you must not only accept, but orchestrate the death of certain groupings of people. That being the very young who are either born "at risk" and the elderly who by virtue of age need to die in order to make the system work. For the larger grouping of individuals there is rationing of care - this is where corruption prevails.
It is not unlike the scenario of the shipwrecked group of 5 people in a boat, but only enough food and water for 3 people to survive to it's destination. Someone has to choose what 2 folks have to be booted out...or eaten. And, if you give the power and control to only 2 of the 5, they might just do away with 3 - to make the boat more comfortable for them. Certainly, you need to be in congress and a member of the ruling party if you want to be one of the remaining 2.
Socialization of healthcare can mean only the following:
- There is no "Quality Control" and little to motivate it. Only a free-market (Capitalistic) system can provide incentive for quality. With the government regulating itself - no checks-&-balances, anything goes. Think of the worst political corruptions you can imagine in the world - Nazi death camps or the USSR and Communism, then hand the healthcare checkbook over to your enemy and see what kind of healthcare you get. No one to keep the system honest. We will see the imaginable become common place.
- Nothing is "Free"... Good healthcare costs. Socialism does not promote good healthcare, but rather demands that quality and quantity be reduced.
- Research and innovation will be significantly reduced.
- Costs will increase - though manipulated and inflated at will for governmental gain, not for the benefit of what is right or true.
- The Nursing and Physician shortage will become unbearable worse because we will see a reduction in wages - as well as those person's with a passion for quality will be forced to leave. I have a Dutch Physician friend who while in Holland can only take home $2000 per month wages.... He is a OB/Fertility specialist. Thus, he has chosen to work in the Middle East, in order to afford paying for his children to be educated in the U.S. Under Socialism, Doctors and Nurses will leave the profession in droves.
- The US Government has already proven that it can not effectively run our postal system nor our school systems. Now - why would we allow them to take over healthcare? This is insanity. I can choose to use FedEx or UPS when I want, and I can still choose to send my child to a private school - even though my taxes pay for all the illegal aliens children to have a wonderful free education. But, when it comes to the new healthcare bill... there is no free-market choice. They are purposefully trying to ensure that this bill prevents the American people from escaping the inevitable - complete control over our bodies, our lives, and our money.
Cloaked in a facade of providing care for those who have no insurance... It is the proverbial "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing". The lies that the American people have swallowed will soon be choking the life out of us.
Unfortunately, this wolf - if not killed, will kill.

have decided to fundamentally change our nation. We will now have a nation
ruled by governmental death panels, by pay-or-prison insurance rules, by the

doctors from our society, by eliminating research in device and
pharmaceuticals, by taking control of one-sixth of our economy. In no
